ITS MIX DESIGN ACI 211.1 (Student Version)

          ITS MIX DESIGN ACI 211.1 was a program that calculate the mix design based on ACI 211.1 (Standard Practice for selecting proportions for Normal, Heavyweight, and Mass Concrete). This program was intended for learning only, that's why it was student version. In this version the program could only used 180 times in one computer and after that it will locked automatically unless you reinstall the windows.

           This program was built using Microsoft Visual Basic.Net 2008 for GUI (Graphical User Interface) and the calculation engine was written on Microsoft Visual C#.Net 2008. This program was using the new .Net Platform which is DotNetFrameWork 3.5, so it won't work until your computer has it installed. The minimum requirements for this program described below :

• Processor Pentium II 233 Mhz or eqivalent (XP), Processor Pentium III 600 Mhz or eqivalent (Vista).

• 128 MB Ram (XP), 512 MB Ram (Vista)

• 2 MB Harddisk Space.

• Microsoft Windows XP SP2 with DotNetFrameWork 3.5 or Microsoft Windows Vista with DotNetFrameWork 3.5.

          For students who want to understand more about Normal Concrete Mix Design besides using this program it would be necessary to read and understands the variable that had great influence in mixing the concrete based on ACI 211.1. How this program works, theory, practice and tutorial will be provided later. The screen shots of the program could be seen in the Picture 1. This program will be available via 4shared shortly (It's available Now !!!).

          This program can be downloaded via 4Shared from this >>>links<<<. The supporting document how to used this program will be supported later, but if you familiar with ACI 211.1 it wouldn't be a problems in using the programs. If encounter problems when installing the program it might be caused by three things, first your operating system doesn't support the technologies, second DotNetFrameWork is not installed or it was not 3.5 version, third the Windows Installer 3.1 is not installed. To solve this problems please follow this step below :

1. To solve unsupported operating system please update your OS, XP with Service Pack 2 or Vista with Service Pack 1. If this cannot solve the problems proceed to the next step.

2. To solve the problems with DotNetFrameWork 3.5 please download the technologies from Microsoft, the supported links is >>>here<<<. Find the full redistributable package (197MB) and download it, don't use the compact installer (2.7MB) it will connect through internet when you install it unless you have a high speed connection. It is awesome isn't the program was only 378 kB but the technologies is 197 MB... ^^...

3. To solve the problems with Windows Installer 3.1 please download the updated from microsoft, the supported links is >>>here<<<. For windows vista is already 4.0 version so there is no need to upgrade the windows installer. Using the same link above you will find Windows Installer 3.1.

          If you didn't experience the problems when installing then your computer is updated with the latest technologies, for comparison AUTOCAD 2009 Using DotNetFrameWork 3.0, SAP 2000 V.12 Using DotNetFrameWork 2.0 and so on. May be it's enough for now... enjoy the programs if you encountered bugs please let me know... thanks...
