PiscesaCol 1.05
(One Part of My Final Project of My Bachelor Degree in ITS)
PiscesaCol 1.05 is a program
that similiar to PCACOL V3.00 and PCACOL V3.64, this program was part
of my final project in ITS. I had developed this program in 2006 in about one
month approximately. Codes were used in this program is SNI 2847-2002
which is similiar with ACI 318-99 and ACI 318-02 for the
Unified Design Profision. It's free anyway...^^ but not the source code...
Heu3x Mr.Raka will kill me for that...^^
This program was written using
Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0, full of GUI and algorithm based on VB 6.00.
Since the graphics in VB 6.0 was rather cumbersome using MSChart (It is
different with .Net 2008) so third party graphics from Microsoft Excel 2003
was used. This third party Graphics was called Microsoft Office Web
Components 11, therefore additional files need to be copied to the System32
folder under the Windows folder. Since VB 6.0 was used therefore it won't need
DotNetFrameWork...^^, The minimum requirement of this program described
below :
-
Processor Pentium II 233 Mhz or eqivalent (XP), Processor Pentium III 600 Mhz or
eqivalent (Vista). I'm not sure if it will work on Vista.
-
64 MB Ram (XP), 512 MB Ram (Vista). I'm not sure if it will work on Vista.
-
1 MB Harddisk Space.
-
Microsoft Windows XP SP2 with Microsoft Office Web Components 11 installed or Microsoft Windows Vista
with Microsoft Office Web Components 11 installed.
As well said before this program is
free with a feature matching with PCACOL V3.00 and PCACOL V3.64
without biaxial analysis. Table 1 will show comparison about PiscesaCol 1.05, ITS Column Analysis 2009, PCACOL 3.00, PCACOL 3.64, CSICOL 8.30.
Hopefully in a few years we had already finish the road map...^^

From Table 1 above we know that the
ability of PiscesaCol 1.05 could be used in designing the column building
including the Slenderness Effect, of course it will be limited to rectangular
and circular section so when it comes to irregular columns or shear wall
design PiscesaCol 1.05 cannot complete the task. But for free programs it offer
more than enough isn't it ??? After finishing this program I'am planning to move
it to .Net Platform that's why ITS Column 1.06 was shown up but it stop in the
way and now the new generation of ITS Column Analysis has shown up and will be
finished in about a few years, our target hopefully we can stand as higher as
CSICOL 8.30...^^
This program will be available
shortly via 4Shared !!! (It's avalaible now
>>>Link<<<), before installing this program a few things should be
taken care of, these things described below :
-
Microsoft Office Web Component 11 must be installed before installing PiscesaCol
1.05, the installation can be found in Microsoft Office 2003 Installation CD in
the same folder of Setup... search for OWC 11 and then install it.
-
Copy PiscesaCol 1.05 requirements from the folder "Requirements" (>>>Link<<<) and then copy
it to folder c:\Windows\System32 if
the specific file exist just skip it.
-
Install PiscesaCol 1.05 and enjoy the free software...^^,if you find the
specific file exist juss keep the original file or ignore the file, any bug or error will
not be followed since the development of this program was stopped and moving to
ITS Column Analysis 2009.
A few overview of PiscesaCol 1.05 will be discussed in other section,
tutorial and help is not available, considering the user has been familiar with
PCACOL then it won't have a difficulty to operate PiscesaCol 1.05. What will be
discussed is how to analyze and design rectangular and circular column using SNI
2847-2002, ACI 318-99, ACI 318-2002 and how to design column with slenderness
effect, it can be followed from the link below :
-
Analyzing rectangular short column with four side equal reinforcement
direction (>>>Link<<<).
-
Analyzing rectangular short column with two side equal along X-Axis direction (>>>Link<<<).
-
Analyzing rectangular short column with two side equal along Y-Axis direction (>>>Link<<<).
-
Analyzing rectangular short column with two side equal along X-Different (>>>Link<<<).
-
Analyzing circular short column with bending direction in X-Axis (>>>Link<<<).
-

-
Designing circular short column (>>>Link<<<).
-
Analyzing slenderness effect of rectangular column (>>>Link<<<).
-

Hopefully this program could be used in
learning or designing regular concrete column without any charge. If you have an
advice for the future programs please let me know... you can email me at
